Copyright Complaint

Last updated: June 25, 2026

Important: Lumio is a media player application and does not host, store, distribute, or provide access to any media content, channels, or streams. We cannot remove content from third-party servers. If you believe a third-party service is infringing your copyright, you must contact that service directly.

1. Our Copyright Position

Lumio is software — a tool that plays streams pointed to by the user. We do not operate any streaming infrastructure, content delivery network, or media repository. All streams accessed through Lumio originate from servers controlled by third parties chosen entirely by the end user.

As a result, Lumio is not in a position to remove or disable access to third-party content. Copyright complaints regarding content accessible through user-supplied playlists must be directed to the operator of the server or service hosting that content.

2. Copyright in Lumio's Own Assets

The Lumio application, its source code, user interface, logo, website content, and all associated materials are protected by copyright law. All rights are reserved. Unauthorised reproduction, modification, distribution, or use of any Lumio-owned materials is strictly prohibited.

3. DMCA / Takedown Notice — When Applicable

If you believe that content on the Lumio website (lumio.mayamstudio.com) or within the Lumio application itself (not user-supplied streams) infringes your copyright, you may submit a notice of alleged infringement in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) or equivalent legislation in your jurisdiction.

A valid copyright notice must include all of the following:

  1. Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed, or a representative list if multiple works are covered.
  2. Identification of the infringing material on the Lumio website or application, with sufficient detail for us to locate it (URL, screen description, etc.).
  3. Your contact information: name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
  4. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  5. A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on their behalf.
  6. Your electronic or physical signature.

Send your notice to: contact us with the subject line "Copyright Notice".

4. Counter-Notification

If you believe that material was removed or disabled in error, you may submit a counter-notification. A valid counter-notification must include:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. Identification of the material that was removed or disabled.
  3. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  4. Your name, address, telephone number, and email address.
  5. A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in the district where you reside (if in the United States) or to an appropriate court if outside the United States.

5. Repeat Infringers

It is our policy to terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are found to be repeat infringers of intellectual property rights.

6. Trademark Complaints

If you believe the Lumio website or application infringes your trademark, please contact us with details of the trademark at issue and how you believe it is being infringed. We will investigate all legitimate trademark complaints.

7. Contact

For all intellectual property matters: contact us. We aim to acknowledge all notices within 5 business days.
