Open an M3U playlist online

1. Open the Lumio web player. It works on compatible browsers on a computer, phone or TV.
2. Add your authorized M3U or M3U8 URL. Keep the full address intact, including any query string supplied by the source owner.
3. Wait for the source to load. You should see its categories or items before starting playback.

Browser requirements for an online M3U player

Because the web player runs inside a browser, the source must meet browser security rules. It needs to use HTTPS and return CORS headers that allow the request from Lumio. These rules protect users from websites silently reading data from other services; Lumio does not bypass them with a server-side playlist proxy.

When to use the native Lumio app instead

Use Lumio for Android, Android TV, Fire TV, webOS, Windows or Linux when an authorized panel is HTTP-only or does not permit CORS requests. Native apps connect directly from your device to the source, without routing media through Lumio’s server.

Common online playback checks

• Confirm the URL begins with https:// and was copied without spaces.
• Check that your source owner still authorizes the link and has not expired its token.
• Try the native app for a browser CORS or mixed-content error.
• Do not share a playlist link that includes access details.
